Book Cover – Nina Jua Klein

If I found this book at the bookstore, I would buy it right away. Forget the whole “what is it about?” thing. This is a beautiful book design by Nina Jua Klein.

Tilt-Shift Photography

This is not a photo of a miniature. Crazy, huh? Here you’ll find more, it’s called tilt-shift photography. It has something to do with the kind of lens they use (or photoshop trick), which makes the focus look like the photo was taken with a macro lens, something you’d use for miniatures. After I found [...]

Cameras + Legos = Awesome

Here’s an interesting artist I found the other day. He does a lot of work with different types of cameras (pinhole, lomo, etc.), and not just what you’d expect.

Happy Earth Day!

sarahbirdspins – hand-dyed, hand-spun yarn. yum!
She has a blog too, about spinning, dying, and everything else.

Alrighty, now go plant a [...]

Music Storage

I don’t know about you, but I can’t work without my music. Hardly a project is done without going through at least ten cycles of my latest playlist (or a couple movies) and two or three charges of my ipod. Then the other day my dad was going on about how amazing technology has become, [...]

Spring!

It’s now officially spring! (because this cherry tree says so)

Project of the Week: Shoes

A friend of mine requested a pair of customized shoes. After mulling it over for a couple days (I’ve never worked with ink on canvas before), I got to sketching. She’s a huge Peter Pan + Tiger Lily fan, so I took that theme and ran with it. Here’s a look at my progress so [...]
