My friend recommended this book to me, so I put it on hold at the library. Yesterday I went to pick it up, and and stared in shock/horror at the cover. This is what I saw.
This doesn’t tell me anything about the book. If I saw this on a bookshelf, I would never pick it up. Sad, I know, I’m judging a book by its cover. So here’s what I’m going to do: When I finish reading this book, I’ll redesign the cover. Hmm…I think I might have to turn this into a regular thing. Every time I read a book that I don’t absolutely love the cover, I’ll redesign it.
This is a good idea. Even if you have no qualms with the cover art sometimes when you finish reading something you think there should be a different image on the cover that relates more to the story and whatnot. You could also end up with a large collection of personal pieces depending on how much you read.
