After sorting through my posters folder, I decided to go with Ty Mattson’s Lost collection for today. His simple style and color choices remind me of Olly Moss’ work. Share/Save Here are a few city posters from design studio The Heads of State. They have beautiful work, and if you want your own copy of any of these, you can order them here. Personally, I’m a fan of the San Fransisco and Seattle posters. Share/Save Remember this? Matt Shlian has taken this concept and applied it on an even bigger scale. It’s amazing! Share/Save I came across this short, but informative, interview with Liz Danzico, an interaction designer who’s worked for anybody and everbody. She has good tips on what people want to see in a portfolio, and how to make first contact with prospective employers (or how not to). If you’ll be in New York on May 15, you [...] Studio On Fire is one of my favorite blogs I subscribe to. They’re a letterpress studio based in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and they do great work. Most of their designs are business cards or wedding invitations, but they are [...] If I found this book at the bookstore, I would buy it right away. Forget the whole “what is it about?” thing. This is a beautiful book design by Nina Jua Klein. Share/Save Here’s an interesting artist I found the other day. He does a lot of work with different types of cameras (pinhole, lomo, etc.), and not just what you’d expect. One of his latest projects was taking cheap plastic cameras and prettifying them. My favorite is this lego camera. lego camera Share/Save |
